Triple Homicide Rocks Brighton Community, Police Identify Victims
A devastating triple homicide has shaken the Brighton community, leaving three family members dead. Brighton police have released the identities of the victims and confirmed that the incident was a murder-suicide.
According to authorities, officers responded to a 911 call on Friday at 11:55 a.m. regarding an unresponsive 11-year-old girl, Anne Mancuso, found on the porch of a home on Hollyvale Drive. Despite being rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital, Anne succumbed to gunshot wounds.
Further investigation led police to a neighboring house, where they discovered the bodies of 74-year-old Mary Liccini, Anne’s grandmother, and 53-year-old Lawrence Mancuso, Anne’s father. Police confirmed that Lawrence Mancuso shot and killed his daughter and mother before taking his own life.
The Brighton Police Department has extended condolences to the family and friends of the victims, saying, “Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been impacted by this tragic event.”
The investigation was assisted by multiple agencies, including the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, and the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office. Hollyvale Drive was temporarily closed during the investigation.
