WEST CLERMONT SCHOOL DISTRICT MOURNS LOSS OF BELOVED PRINCIPAL KEVIN THACKER
Cincinnati, Ohio – The West Clermont School District and the Cincinnati community are grieving the loss of Kevin Thacker, a highly respected principal, mentor, and friend, who passed away on January 2nd, surrounded by loved ones.
Thacker’s 26-year career in education was marked by exceptional leadership, dedication, and service. He began his tenure with the West Clermont School District in 1999 as an assistant principal at Glen Este Middle School, before being promoted to principal in 2001.
Thacker went on to become the principal of Clough Pike Elementary in 2011, where he remained a cornerstone of the district’s mission to promote academic success and community involvement.
Throughout his career, Thacker was renowned for his high standards, kindness, and compassion. He was a mentor to educators, a role model for students, and a trusted leader for families.
Thacker is survived by his wife, Ann; daughters, Brooke and Alexis; and parents, Walt and Vera. His legacy will be remembered through his kindness, leadership, and unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on the world.
