Missing Woman Found Dead in Kansas City Amid Severe Winter Weather
Kansas City police have launched a death investigation after a missing woman was found deceased early Sunday, as extreme winter weather gripped the region.
Amanda Switzer, 42, was reported missing at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, according to the Kansas City Police Department. Authorities said she was last seen near the Kit Bond Bridge without her vehicle or phone, raising concerns for her safety.
Switzer’s family, worried for her well-being, contacted authorities for assistance. Tragically, around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, her body was discovered.
Law enforcement officials confirmed the opening of a death investigation but have not provided additional details as the case remains active.
